Why are you interested in

I grew up in Upper Moreland, and the Swim Club was an integral part of my childhood, a place where lasting memories were made and lifelong friendships were formed. I want to ensure that my boys have the same opportunities to create those cherished memories, spending their summers at a vibrant and welcoming club. I am passionate about preserving and enhancing this legacy, so it continues to be a place where families can connect, children can grow, and community bonds are strengthened. My goal is to contribute to the club’s future success, ensuring it remains a cherished gathering spot for generations to come.

Please explain your selection(s) above with specifics on how you plan on contributing

I currently sit on the board and was elected to the Grounds Committee in 2022. Initially, I was part of the team but soon after my election, I was asked to take on the lead role. Since then, I have been the lead for the grounds crew, overseeing and facilitating various projects such as the roof replacement, planting new trees, installing a sand volleyball court, replacing the pool vacuums, and aerating and seeding the grounds. Additionally, I coordinate with the team on the opening and closing of the club, organizing volunteers for winter leaf cleanup, bed preparation, new plantings, and laying down mulch. My role involves year-round planning and maintenance for the pool and recreational areas, ensuring everything is in top condition for our members to enjoy.

Why are you interested in

I am deeply invested in our swim club, currently serving as the Board’s Corporate Secretary. My family and I have cherished our time here, and I am committed to giving back to the community that has given us so much. Joining the Board was my way of ensuring our club’s ongoing success and creating a welcoming place for families.This experience deepened my commitment and connection with our members. My goal is to continue contributing to the club’s growth, ensuring it remains a vibrant community for years to come.

I currently serve as the Corporate Secretary on the Executive Board of the Upper Moreland Swim Club for the past 4 years. My extensive experience on various swim club and social committees has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the club’s operations and member needs. My role involves managing the membership database, communications, social media, and maintaining meeting minutes. I actively contribute to all committees, ensuring efficient and secure operations. My year-round dedication and proactive problem-solving help create a safe and enjoyable environment for our members. I am committed to continuously improving our offerings and ensuring member satisfaction. I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving on the Board and contributing to the Swim Club’s success.

Why are you interested in

Currently, as the Treasurer of the swim club, I enjoy doing the work and contributing to my community. My family and I love the pool so for me it's a way to give back and help the club with my accounting and financial knowledge.

I am the current Treasurer of UMSC, a role I have held for the past two years and thoroughly enjoy. With 17+ years of experience as a seasoned Accountant, I have a deep understanding of financials, cash flow, and business operations. I manage a team of five staff members, and together we have successfully navigated through numerous audits, daily operations, and even the challenges presented by the pandemic. My responsibilities as Treasurer extend year-round, ensuring the financial health and stability of the club. I am dedicated to maintaining accurate financial records, preparing budgets, and overseeing all financial transactions. My experience and commitment enable me to contribute significantly to the continued success and smooth operation of UMSC.

Why are you interested in

I have served on the UMSC BOD for the past three years. Additionally, I grew up at UMSC, swam on the swim team, worked in the gator grille, and was also a lifeguard and assistant manager. I now have the pleasure of watching my kids grow up in the area's best privately owned swim club. I want to continue using my personal UMSC experience and professional work experience to solidify our clubs standing as the exceptional value that it is.

Why are you interested in

I am interested in joining to Board of Directors because I am passionate about contributing to the community. My family has really enjoyed spending our time at the pool and I would love to be part of enhancing the clubs community engagement as well as facilities and activities.

Please explain your selection(s) above with specifics on how you plan on contributing

As a Realtor and owner of an appraisal business for 11 years, I bring strong analytical and financial planning skills that can benefit the club's budgeting and decision-making. My experience in managing an appraisal company has honed my recruitment, training, and employee management skills. My negotiation and communication abilities are valuable for vendor contracts and member relations, always prioritizing customer satisfaction.

Additionally, my experience as a substitute teacher and assistant coach has taught me how to engage children, ensure safety, and mentor effectively. I am a problem-solver, organized, and an excellent multi-tasker, believing in transparency and effective communication. These skills make me a strong candidate for the Swim Club Board of Directors, ready to contribute to its success and growth.

Why are you interested in

I think my daily life and work, specifically working closely with people, mediating disputes and deescalating highly charged situations could be of benefit to the board and the membership as a whole.

Please explain your selection(s) above with specifics on how you plan on contributing

I have worked in a managerial role in previous jobs. In my current career, I am knowledgeable and dependable to help others when supervisors are not available. A large part of policing is human resources. I have done field training throughout my career to prepare other officers for the job they will need to perform. One of my previous trainees is now a Deputy Commissioner and I'm proud to have been able to contribute in some small way, to her success. I am adept at using social media beneficially and responsibly, as my current career requires that even when I am not on duty, I practice discretion. Fortunately, I married someone who is all to happy to share ideas and lend a hand and, due to previously and currently sitting on several boards herself, has a lot of experiences with fundraising and organizing events on a large scale.

Why are you interested in

My family has really loved being a part of UMSC, and we want to see it continue to grow. I have a lot of ideas on how to attract and maintain membership and create a more vibrant culture, and I have experience implementing similar ideas in other settings.

Please explain your selection(s) above with specifics on how you plan on contributing

I previously was on the clinical leadership team of my former company, where I managed as team of clinical trainers as well as helped create social media content and blog posts. I also maintain a social media account for my own business, as well as email marketing for my practice. I assist my husband in generating wholesale market leads. I've created sales and marketing funnels to build brand awareness, generate interest, and drive sales for my husband's hot sauce business. In previous roles, I've planned, marketed, and executed school-wide and after-school events.
