The Upper Moreland Swim Club's board of directors consists of 15 people. Terms last three years, and there are five slots up for election each summer. Bonded members of the club are invited to run for the board. Each year, there is an effort to identify particular skills and experience that are important for the board, with that information shared with the members when applications are opened for the annual elections. 

Elections typically take place in the late July - early August time period, with elected members' terms becoming effective at the annual general membership meeting. That meeting is announced to the membership in advance, and typically takes place toward the latter part of the operating season.

The board's executive committee is voted on by the board of directors for one-year terms in each executive posisition.
